This platform has various applications such as wastewater treatment, water desalination, pharmaceutical industries, and petrochemical plants. Among the challenging problems is the water level estimation which is needed for controlling the system.

The Smart Water Distribution SCADA System is a small scale closed-loop model of a water distribution system of a city. It consists of water tank, reservoir, single pumps, redundant pumps, analog and solenoid valves, water pressure, flow and level meters. The system comes with a SCADA software, which allows the users to monitor the entire system and implement remote control of the valves and the VFDs of the pumps.
As it is seen from the system diagram, the pump 1 pushes the water up to the upper tank. The upper tank has a water level meter to monitor the level in real-time. There is one manual valve on the input of the pump and a solenoid valve on the output. There are also pressure and water flow meters on this branch. The upper tank is also equipped with a level switch that will automatically turn off the pump to avoid any overfill.

Two years back in February 2021, a new department of Electrical Engineering was established in the University of Dubai for the undergraduate students which was fully based on Bitlismen's Power Labs Ecosystem Trainers. Both theoretical materials as well as practical experimental platforms were provided by Bitlismen.
We are thrilled and honored to inform that after two years of successful education and due to the dedicated work of the lecturers and professors, the University of Dubai was approved to start as well the Master degree program for Electrical Engineering based on Bitlismen’s Power Labs Ecosystem platforms. Thus, the post graduate students will also base their teaching and research on cutting edge technologies provided by us.

It demonstrates how the PHIL systems can be integrated with physical academic trainers and be used not only for research purposes but also academic teaching. Particularly we have a small microgrid setup consisting of different renewable generation sources, power transmission, distribution and utilization. Some parts of the microgrid are physically implemented and others are digitally simulated.
